Born in the UK but now living in the Canary Islands, I've worked in social care for over 30 years, mostly in mental health, homelessness services, and with ex-offenders.
I was pretty much a nightmare at secondary school and I think most of my teachers from back then would've been surprised I turned out as responsible as I did. My favourite school report said I "enjoyed school too much" - luckily my mum took it as a positive!
She wasn't quite so keen that I held the record for the female pupil on report for the longest consecutive time.........
